Bi-weekly update on street closures, downtown parking, and other events affecting transportation
TIMEFRAME: Monday, June 27 through Sunday, July 10th.
Monday, July 4th:
- Kiwanis Kiddie Parade: The parade begins on C Street between 1st and 2nd Streets and proceeds north to Central Park. Participants should gather at 9:30 a.m. and the parade will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.
- Fourth of July Criterium: Downtown, 5:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Downtown street closures are in effect. Go to dbcraceteam.org for more information.
- Community Park Entertainment and Fireworks: 4:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Expect heavy traffic and parking impacts on F Street, Fourteenth Street and adjacent neighborhoods.
Friday, July 8th - Sunday, July 10th:
Downtown Sidewalk Sales: Expect parking impacts and heavy foot traffic.
Veterans Memorial Center Parking Lot: Will be closed to the public for resurfacing. Starting June 13 and throughout the summer, Davis High School tennis court will be undergoing renovations and the student parking lot will be repaved and reconfigured for traffic patterns. This construction work will affect use of the parking lot between the high school and the Veterans Memorial Center. The lot will be closed for most of the summer, but will be open for Fourth of July. Updates will be posted at djusd.net and the Davis Joint Unified School District Facebook page.
225 B Street: Mission Residences will have the sidewalk and parking in front of the project occupied for the foreseeable future.
The EPA continues to have crews working in Mace Ranch near Arroyo Avenue.

Long Term Projects:
Del Rio Place project: Parking on the north side still unavailable.
Cannery (1111 E. Covell Blvd.): Cannery construction continues. Impacts will continue to be truck traffic.
